Good afternoon friends, hope you are all well. As the World gets madder than anyone can imagine, when the Coronavirus is still spreading, when the mugs are still not paying any attention to the guidelines, we are facing more and more tragedy on a daily basis.

The protests still carry on in some parts of the World and I have no objection to protests (peaceful) but what I cannot stomach or will not stand for is the abuse of animals suffering in the process.

The recent pictures in America and the UK made me cry, not because of the usual battle of Police and the Public but the actual harm of the poor Horses who (through no choice) have been used to calm the protests, but in the process have had all kinds of projectiles hurled at them causing injury, pain, and distress?

One nutcase on twitter said to me “why have horses at a protest when they are sure to be hurt” and this mentality is Worldwide, anyone knows that when protests are “unpeaceful” and start to get excitable, the Police and Armed Forces use Horses to calm the situation.

Right or wrong this is totally unacceptable, as is the injury and sometimes death of human life.

I also feel that the desecration of monuments, celebrating the life and bravery of our Military past and presence is actually unspeakable and the people responsible should be taken to task and punished? What has this got to do with Racism or the death of a Black Man?

Anyone can be a hero hurting a defenceless Animal, well done.

  1. William, I understand your dismay but the horses used by the police are specially train, much in the same manner as police dogs and other service animals. They are not being abused. Just like plow horses, they have a job to do.

  2. Protesting is fine, but the intermittent hooligans need to stay home, rather than using a protest as license for anonymous destruction. Abuse of animals or humans is unconscionable. Stay well William. Allan
