Hi folks, Isn’t it sad when money is worth more than Human life, isn’t it sad that because of a small debt a young man takes his life, well it truly happened.
After watching this harrowing drama based on a true story I feel disgusted with our society.
Humanity has always been greedy, can’t get enough and if we can’t get enough we become ruthless, do we care about people’s Mental Health state? The answer is no. In this program hosted by the BBC, it tells the story of a young man, who successfully gained employment which in this day and age is incredible. The Young man starts as a motorcycle courier, the image itself seems cool however the way the young lad was treated by I suppose he was the Manager of the courier firm was quite devastating, he rattled off rules and regulations, made it clear that most of the lad’s earnings would be in costs? as in radios, machines for signatures, fuel, insurance, basically he was told you will be self-employed but YOU are responsible for the expenses, IE tax, etc, as well in my eyes a right rip off company who should be shut down.
A young person is supposed to understand this prick as he speedily went through what was expected of the lad.
The first couple of days his Bike goes on the blink, so he thinks the job is in the air, and that should have been enough to warn the lad off, but he was proud and wanted to earn a living.
Everything went well at the start, he was earning a few bob but it was less than his expenses, so realistically he wasn’t earning anything, then came the chance of another bike from his mum and stepdad, who kindly put up the finance all the young man needed to do was pay his stepdad back, monthly which he thought yeah I can handle that.
It all went pear-shaped when he went in a bus lane in London which is an instant fine, but pressure and timing make you do things you would normally think about.
All went well until he received a fine of 65.00 for the traffic offence, he simply ignored the letter and put it in his satchel, then he did it again, this time he faced 2 65.00 fines, and again he let it slide.
The fine has to be paid in 28 days or there is a further charge, needless to say, he ignored that too and faced over 1000 pounds (0.45 t) in fines, by this time it was passed to a debt collection agency.
He received visits from the Bailiffs it was disgusting watching this guy harass the young guy who needed help, all he was concerned about was clamping his bike and pressurizing him into paying the full fine.
This you may think is harsh, but it is how This Country deals with debtors and quite frankly it’s barbaric.
The woman in the debt collection agency was as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike, clearly, a jobsworth bamboozling the young man on the phone.
In this country the UK, one of the richest countries in the World people are subjected to barbaric unscrupulous monsters praying on the poor while rich people can dodge tax and get away with it.
There are millions, in fact, billions of unpaid taxes in the UK every year but the importance is chasing a working-class person for a few hundred pounds, so were is the fairness in that?
This lad took his life over 1000 pounds (0.45 t), I hope the people involved sleep at night because I couldn’t if it was on my conscience.
My sympathy goes to his family, who tried everything in their power to help their son who was too proud to ask for help.#SUICIDE #FOR #DEBT #LOANS #MONEYWORRIES #COLLECTORS #BAILIFFS #MONEYLENDERS Click To Tweet
