Hi friends, hope you are well.
Today I want to talk about retail, we all shop, we all have to eat, we all have to queue now and again and although sometimes it’s annoying its just the norm.
I have worked in retail for 2 large supermarket companies for 7 years and although they are slightly different in working practices, they are all the same when it comes to customers.

If I go to a shop and there is a queue, I will wait patiently until someone is available to serve me, without any drama, however, some customers make it their aim to upset you and make you feel like shit, because either they are ignorant, or plain nasty.
Everyone in retail will agree, we all try our hardest, being paid a minimum wage you have to smile and make the customer feel they are worthy.

I feel that some people deliberately go out of their way to make your day a nightmare, customers who are on their mobile phone while you are serving them is one example, another is a customer coming to the tills you start the transaction then they veer of to get something else leaving the remaining queue fuming.

I feel people are too much in a damn hurry these days they need to chill, and more importantly, they need to respect the workers who try their very hardest to make their shopping experience as painless as possible.
If you are one of those people, then think before you act, you will find you get more assistance in a polite manner.
