Living with type 2 Diabetes.

Hello friends, what’s up? Today I would like to discuss type 2 diabetes, the symptoms and the consequences of the disease.

I was recently diagnosed with borderline diabetes, the blood sugar in my body is taking longer to absorb and this can affect many organs in your body as it is pumped through your bloodstream.

It’s a common fact that type 2 diabetes is linked to being overweight it certainly doesn’t help, I consider myself being a bit overweight but not much.

It affects your heart, liver, kidneys, and sight, so I have to be regularly checked to make sure my sugar balance is right, if it gets worse I may have to take insulin injections to produce this vital liquid. The best thing is, I am going to a Diabetes workshop in June where I will learn from a Dietician just what I am allowed and not allowed to eat, at the moment it’s pretty difficult to balance the diet, especially like me you loved chocolate and sweet things like biscuits which now is a no-no.

If you have this disease I would be interested to find out how you cope with it, what foods you eat and what you avoid.

I am at the early stages but I do not want to progress to type 1.
